I really wanted to like this book, especially after having paid full price for it, but it's just too general in scope and too wordy in length to be a good reference for psychiatric nursing. I have bought many supplemental textbooks for my nursing classes over the past 3 years of school and the incredibly easy books tend to be geared toward entry-level courses. I highly recommend the Success line by Davis instead.

A friend who's a psych nurse said this helped him ease into the role a bit better. I bought it, and it's been a great reference for learning more about personality disorders and assessment in psych nursing. Would really recommend this for a new psych nurse. It's VERY different than floor nursing!

This was a great resource, I made A's on both exams only using this book. Like most " Made Easy" books, it makes everything very easy to understand and honestly it was more enjoyable to read than the textbook orginal assigned for psych. I would add this to my "yes" pile, if I had to do it all over again.Good luck

I bought this when I got a job working at a psychiatric hospital. It's a great and quick way to review and polish up on your info.

Great book!! My classmates and I called it "The Dummy Book" because it breaks concepts down similarly to how the Dummy Series does. Definitely helped me pass my RN psych rotation with flying colors!

I wish I bought this book sooner! I purchased this book mid semester and my grades have increased. Will be buying the other editions.

I have been nursing for 28 years, but never did psychiatric nursing until now. This is an excellent resource. It gets right to the point.

This book is incredibly helpful. I use it to reinforce the topics discussed in my main mental health textbook. I use it to study for every nursing lecture exam. I recommend it to my classmates. There aren't many practice questions, but the content in each chapter is what really matters to me.
